Abu offers free conversations by text. This page explains what the service needs to run and the choices you have.

Information we use

When you sign up, we store your mobile number, the agent you chose, your consent choices, and when you made them. We store text messages so your agent can use recent context when it replies. If you send Olive a meal photo, Twilio delivers the photo and OpenAI processes it to produce a reply. Abu does not save a copy of the photo in its own database.

Service providers

Twilio sends and receives your texts. OpenAI processes message text and any meal photo you send to Olive. If you choose sponsored links, Koah may receive an opaque ID and a broad agent category to select an ad. Abu does not send Koah your mobile number, message text, or meal photos. Koah links may record when you open them.

We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent records with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Your choices

Reply STOP in an agent's thread to stop its texts. Reply DELETE to remove that agent's saved messages and signup. Reply HELP for assistance. You can opt into sponsored links separately when you sign up. Each agent uses its own signup and consent.

Limits

Carrier and service providers may keep their own records under their policies. Text messaging is not a private channel for emergencies or sensitive medical information. Do not send information you would not want handled by these providers.
